Starting9 Updated Rules & Protocols

A Letter To The Community:

In an effort to remain open and continue to increase the amount of athletes and parents allowed in the facility, and keep everyone including our S9 team members healthy and safe, we ask that the following rules and protocols be followed. We truly appreciate everyone’s cooperation.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at (661) 424-9581.

  • Current Hours of Operation:
    • Monday – Friday from 4:00-9:00
    • Saturday from 10:00 to 4:00
    • Sunday from 10:00 to 2:00
    • BE ADVISED…If you arrive late for a workout, please understand your time will stop at the designated end time, without exception.
  • Same day reservations and “walk-ins” will now be permitted based on daily availability.  We still recommend calling before arriving at (661) 424-9581 to reserve your time.
  • Please see our PRICING page for all of our current reservation options
  • Facemasks or bandanas are optional.
  • A credit card will be required to reserve cage time and we reserve the right to keep the credit card information on file in our scheduling system to limit contact between our S9 team members and clients.  You may pay with cash once arriving at the facility as the credit card being held on file will not be charged until the completion of the reservation.
  • We strictly enforce a 24-hour cancellation policy.  We are a small facility so if a reservation is not canceled 24-hours or more before the reserved time, the credit card on file will be charged the full reservation rate.  A hospital or emergency room visit will be the only exception to nullify being charged.
  • Teams that had time left on their discount cards with us before the pandemic will be offered a full refund of the remaining time, or a coach can present us with a team roster and each player may receive a free half-hour of personal cage time to be used by an assigned date.
  • Please do not enter the facility more than 5 minutes before your scheduled reservation, and please exit the facility within 5 minutes of completing your session.
  • We reserve the right to amend these rules and regulations, if necessary.

During these unprecedented times, we feel our facility has the unique opportunity to offer a safe environment and accommodate a more private setting for those looking to avoid larger crowds.  Our six-foot-tall vinyl partitions and twenty-foot mesh curtains will remain in place to divide both cages as an additional safety precaution.  We hope you like the pertinent and new renovations we have made to our facility and more are on the way!

Looking forward to seeing you,

  IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM S9

& CAGE RENTAL SPECIAL

(Message as of 3/13/20…Updated rules and protocols coming 3/19/20)

Our top priority at Starting 9 Batting Cages is to provide a clean and safe environment for all of our athletes and their family members.  As a local business, we have regular procedures we follow that ensure we keep it that way.
With the recent emergence of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have reinforced to our staff the importance of proper common sense hygiene practices such as thorough washing of hands, proper coughing and sneezing etiquette, as well as encouraging our staff members to stay home if they are sick.  In addition, we have recommended that everyone avoid shaking hands and instead use other non-contact methods of greeting.  According to the CDC, all of these practices help fight the spread of any illness.

Additionally, we have increased our cleaning practices.  Items such as door knobs, chair arms, baseball/softball equipment, restrooms, and other high touch surfaces are being wiped down with high frequency.  You may also notice hand sanitizer stations around the facility.  These additional precautions should help us create as safe of an environment as possible.

Furthermore, for the remainder of March, we’re offering a reduced (single cage) flat rate of $20 per 1/2 hour to make it more advantageous for individuals and small groups to continue practicing in a more private setting.

Also, we have temporarily discontinued scheduling multiple teams at the same time in an attempt to limit the exposure to other customers, teams, and their family members.

Finally, during this cautionary period, we ask that team representatives and coaches announce to family members and siblings to please drop players off or wait in the car to limit the amount of people in the facility at one time when possible.  We feel that these steps will enhance the likelihood we keep our facility as safe as possible for all of our athletes and coaches.

We are also continuing to monitor health departments at the city, state and federal levels to ensure we receive the latest updates and protocols.  You can get the latest information from the CDC on coronavirus in the U.S. at:

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to give us a call!
